Farm Girls Gather

Robin was our host for this Farm Girl gathering get together, her front porch was so inviting, you just wanted to go up on the porch and sit a while. However we had an agenda and lots of creating to do. We made signs for our garden and homes. Taking home our creations to place in just the right spot.
Here are three of our farm girls, we were very happy to be able to get together after a long break over the summer.
The table was set for a perfect garden party. Lunch was wonderful and refreshing.
Robin's husband serenaded us with his ukulele that he made from old cigar boxes, it was way cool, I might even want to take up that instrument. Thanks Mark.
We ventured out side and went down to the area that Robin has as a shade garden, complete with a deck and table and chairs. We shared our journal pages from our last gathering which was way back in June, when we went to Farm Chicks in Spokane, Washington. It has been so much fun to see how everyone puts their page together, eventually we will be able to have a book to store them. We shared our apron stories and then went down to the garden.
This was Katy's journal page, if you click on the photo you can read it better, she told the whole story of our trip to Farm Chicks in a poetic way. Thank you Katy.
Here is Erin, Katy and Robin down in this little secret shady area, with the heat of the day being so hot it felt really good here.
This tree was amazing, it was huge, Robin said she thinks it was hit by lightening sometime and it split apart forming this piece of art.
Robin took us for a tour of her garden, she definitely knows what she is doing in that garden, check out the sunflowers they are way taller than Katy and Erin. Wow! Robin said they are the Mammoth variety. I could wish to grow some that big some day.
This sunflower was in all its glory shining down on all of us.
The table was set with all the supplies we might need to make our signs, along with some goodies to take home.
Here we are working on our signs, as you can see mine was blank I had to think for a while what I wanted to write.
Erin's was perfect, she is very experienced at making signs, and I do know that she has been canning and cooking like crazy.
Katy made these great signs, that she is going to put along a pathway to the river, they will be perfect, I think.
Harvest, that is what Robin has been doing with her garden, we are all very envious. Check out her apron she made it from a pair of old jeans, we all what to make a apron like this one. It would be very practical for working outside, especially don't you think?
We all know I like vintage aprons, so it was a given that I would make those signs.
Here we are with all our signs together, we had so much fun. Thank you Robin for hosting this gathering.

Vintage Gathering Fall Harvest

Last Saturday the 12 of September was another sale that I attended, Vintage Gathering, they continue to grow bringing all sorts of treasures for every ones taste.
This was from the Uncovered Ruby space, you need to go to their blog for the post on this sale, they got some great photos, which tells the whole story.
You can see there was a lot of vendors here for this sale, Kathy has done a great job gathering people to sale their treasures as well as Kathy has some great treasures for us all to buy from her.
Sue of Birdsong having some fun behind the window with this pumpkin man. I found some great treasures from Sue and Mary Jo. Thank you!
This was a great collection of old type writer keys, I was able to find my first initial and my whole last name. Yeah!
I do love the Raggedy Ann's and Andy's. The more tattered and loved the better. I have a wonderful collection of them.
Here are just a few random photos. Enjoy!

Kathy's garden was in its glory for all to see.
This vintage toy car was way too cool!!!!!!!!!!
Myself and Karen of Just Plain and Simple Me, we have been blog friends and had not yet met, so we finally got to meet and what a special treat that was for me.
These pastries were to die for, don't miss out the next time you see Karen, I know she is going to be at Uncovered Ruby on the 3rd of October.
This is from Cheryl's booth, we were fellow farm girls, long time ago it seems.
This was from Michelle's space of My Shabby Passions, she has a eye for finding what people like.
This blue table certainly caught my eye since I like blue. This photo and the ones below are from Harris Farms, they always have such great items.
This would make a nice gift for a baker that loved vintage, don't you think?
Check this sign out closer, click on the photo for a closer view, Harris Farms is having a couple of sales coming up. Uncovered Ruby is hosting a sale in their back parking lot on Oct. 3 a sale not to be missed.

Barn House Season Finale 2009

For the fall harvest Barn House Sale we had Natalie, Cindy,Jermone, Kimberly and Joe shown here, also Diane and I am sure more than that participated in this sale, bringing together a great show for the season finale of the year, here in Venersburg, Washington. We will all wait in anticipation for what spring brings us.
Jars of shells who can resist. Brings us closer to the ocean, I think.
Natalie's beautiful jewelry. Check out her blog for more information.
These next few pictures show how the fall harvest is definitely in the air, all the primitive furniture just really sets it off.

How about a Cinderella pumpkin?
This setting was gorgeous with those gold gourds and the black next to it. Wow!
This was Cindy's area, I don't know how she finds so much stuff, she has a sale on the 26th of September, check her blog out for more information.
I really liked this grouping, it would be great in a den or a beach cabin. Don't you think so?
There is always some great treats to be had to fortify the body so we can keep shopping or just relax after shopping and visit with our friends. Thank you Natalie for all your yummy cakes.
Wave the magic wand and everything is done. Right? Some how maybe not. It is worth a try don't you think?
I have always loved these turquoise jars and have a collection myself, they look way too cool in a grouping I think.
This was a great display piece and storage, wow think of all the treasures you could put in the drawls where you could find them.
These head bands were made by Kimberly of mimi charmante, she had some beautiful necklaces and half aprons of which I did treat my self to one of the aprons.
These Lavender Bath Salts were done by Natalie of the vintage sparrow.
Ok Joe Did you grow all of these tomatoes?

All of this iron work is so beautiful. I guess we will have to all wait for spring to come to see what our Barn House Boys have in store for us. Saturday was a very busy day for me, as I got up early for Barn House, then I was off to Vintage Gathering and then to my Farm Girl Gathering, so as you can see I have more posts to come. Stay tuned there is lots more to see.
