A Mother's Day fit for a princess. Jennifer and Julie invited me to go to tea at a special place in Washougal, Washington called Lac de' Fleur Gardens. The setting was beautiful. Now you might say why the Tiaras? Well Jennifer lives in a house full of boys, she has always been my girlie girl, so when she can dress up special she goes for it. So I must say I did say" you are going to do what?" Meaning she had told me she was going to wear her Tiara. Well both Julie and I are some what shy so we just weren't too sure about doing it ourselves. Deciding I would go ahead and put some of my extra Tiara's in the car just in case it felt like the right thing to do. Our GPS got us lost so we arrived a few minutes late to our destination, we were the last to arrive for the 2:00 setting, I had decided that Julie and I would go for it and wear our Tiaras, I am so glad we did. We were the only ones, but I did not care. While we were sitting at our table a mom and her young daughter came over to us, the mom said she had told her daughter that she had to be good, because there would be princess's at the tea party, so of course she was in ah over us. The little girl said "are you a princess?" We said yes and so are you.
The table was set, the savories were delicious and the conversation was wonderful.
Jennifer enjoying her new found love of tea, especially in a pretty tea cup. Loved her top.
This is Julie sitting down by the pond that was on this estate. I think a great time was had by us all. The Lac de' Fleur Gardens will be hosting more teas as the summer goes on. Check their web site out for more information. Happy Mother's Day to all those mothers out there in our blog world and especially to my mom. I love you. I thank my daughters for a memorable day.
