A Vintage Gathering Flea Market in our own Battle Ground, Washington would not disappoint. These women have put together a great show for all. They coincide their sale with the Barn House Sale, allowing for a great day for shopping. Next sale is July 31st, so save your dollars, between Barn House and Vintage Gathering, there will be some serious shopping happening. You won't want to miss out.
These sweet plates I bought from Michelle of My Shabby Passion, Michelle is one of the sweetest people I know. I remember last year I saw her at Farm Chicks, she had flown over to go to the sale, and had to buy some vintage suitcases to haul all her treasures home, a true vintage treasure finder, I am thinking, how about you?
Here is Annette and I, Annette has Andy's Attic, she had a space here and sales at Uncovered Ruby, you'll want to check out her finds.
This beach chair says summer all over.
The bold crisp colors were very prevalent here at this sale, something for every one's taste.
Wow look at that red. So clean and crisp, perfect for a vintage camper or just camping, don't you think?
This table setting says Vintage all the way. I think back to the late 60's and early 70's and that was the colors we were all using. Oh the memories.
Lisa and I sharing some treasures, it was so nice to meet her mom, I wish my mom could go to some of these sales with me, I can just hear the stories she might tell me, "I remember that old thing" and my dad would say "what on earth do you want that thing for?" Sometimes I feel like I feel the history of a piece that I might buy, it becomes a treasure to me.
After leaving the Vintage Gathering sale, I headed to Camas to the Downtown Garden Fair, there was lots of plants to be seen and great friends. I did not come home with any plants yet, just because of the weather and the higher elevation I live at, sometimes causes you to loose some of those great plants if you plant too early. Patience is the name of that game. Not easy for me however.
Loved this quilt, it says flower garden all the way, what a refreshing space this was.
Do you remember when the farm girls did this very same stone stamping, some how I think this person has it down really well.
Not only were there plants but anything that was garden related, as you can see by this photo. If you are looking for a place to go treasure hunting Queen of Tarte is having her monthly sale this Saturday the 22nd, check out her blog for more info. Next post Funky Junk Sisters Sale. What fun we farm girls had.

Barn House Season Opener 2010
Joe, Cindy and Jermone, the Barn House Season Opening would not disappoint any one. The line up of contributors were incredible, check out the list on the Barn House site. It continues to amaze me the amount of items that are at this sale, so many unique and sought after pieces. Below you will only see highlights of what I saw, I took so many photos, that there is no way I could post them all. I feel as though I am in a candy store. So much eye candy, the adrenaline rush is unbelievable, I can hardly contain myself. I am not a professional photographer, I just love to take photos and share them. Please enjoy the journey.
I loved this display of silverware, I totally missed the cabinet, darn, I could of found some great uses for it.
There were a lot of wonderful primitive tables and work benches to choose from, I especially loved that wooden dough trough.
These tulips were perfect in this white pot.
This sweet truck was for sale, I am sure it conjured up some memories for many of the shoppers.
Farm fresh eggs, the best.
Oh to be so small, this is just a darling vintage dress provided by Randy of Madison Avenue, it is my understanding he has a shop in Sellwood, which is in Porland, Oregon.
I loved how the light shown through these green seltzer bottles, one of them came home with me, to add to my collection. Thanks Natalie.
Metal pitchers filled with lavender for that special place you might have.
Check these buckets out with the lavender and laurel in them, ready for gift giving or keeping. On the bench were potted salad pots to take home and to enjoy. Joy provided these salad pots for us.
Joy and myself, one of the most fun things about attending these events is that you can see fellow bloggers whom you have gotten to know. Joy is the most sharing person I know and I thank her for her friendship.
Natalie provided these chocolate cup cakes and a delicious zucchini bread. I love the touch of the wooden tool box, don't you?
The pastoral setting is perfect, with animals in the pasture, the adventure to the country is complete.
It definitely pays to come early so you don't miss out .
This cupola was gone in the first hour. You will not want to miss the Barn House next show on July 31, 2010 for an incredible Flea Market. Mark your calenders.

A Mother's Day Fit For A Princess
A Mother's Day fit for a princess. Jennifer and Julie invited me to go to tea at a special place in Washougal, Washington called Lac de' Fleur Gardens. The setting was beautiful. Now you might say why the Tiaras? Well Jennifer lives in a house full of boys, she has always been my girlie girl, so when she can dress up special she goes for it. So I must say I did say" you are going to do what?" Meaning she had told me she was going to wear her Tiara. Well both Julie and I are some what shy so we just weren't too sure about doing it ourselves. Deciding I would go ahead and put some of my extra Tiara's in the car just in case it felt like the right thing to do. Our GPS got us lost so we arrived a few minutes late to our destination, we were the last to arrive for the 2:00 setting, I had decided that Julie and I would go for it and wear our Tiaras, I am so glad we did. We were the only ones, but I did not care. While we were sitting at our table a mom and her young daughter came over to us, the mom said she had told her daughter that she had to be good, because there would be princess's at the tea party, so of course she was in ah over us. The little girl said "are you a princess?" We said yes and so are you.
The table was set, the savories were delicious and the conversation was wonderful.
Jennifer enjoying her new found love of tea, especially in a pretty tea cup. Loved her top.
This is Julie sitting down by the pond that was on this estate. I think a great time was had by us all. The Lac de' Fleur Gardens will be hosting more teas as the summer goes on. Check their web site out for more information. Happy Mother's Day to all those mothers out there in our blog world and especially to my mom. I love you. I thank my daughters for a memorable day.
