Fall is here, but Summer is Remembered.

July was a very busy month for me, with that in my memory I have lot to catch up on here in blog land. First up was my visit to Vintage Gathering on July 29th in the evening. This sale never disappoints, the vendors are awesome, bringing their best treasures for us to discover. I always find something that I cannot pass up like aprons, one of my many weakness. I have thought many times I should hang all of my aprons out on my clothes line, what a great photo that could be. Um maybe this spring I will have to do just that. I will let you enjoy some glimpse's of some of the wares that were for sale below.

Uncovered Ruby, check out their site. They are having a Sugar and Spice Holiday Sale this Friday from 5 - 8pm and Saturday 10:30am to 4:00pm.
Love this crystal hanging hankies, provided by Second Childhood Girlfriends.

I purchased that fishing creel, my plan is to put it in our Hunt trailer aka as Farm Girl trailer.

This so reminds me of our earlier camping days with our girls.
This area so inviting.
Kathy, the hostess for this sale, has a beautiful yard, perfect hosting this Vintage Gathering.
I look at these photos and see all these flowers, oh how I long for summer again. More summer ramblings to come.

Vintage Gathering and Barn House Fall Finalie

Vintage Gathering and Barn House are the highlights for this weekend, Saturday the 25th. The line up for both of these sales will be at the top for both of these sales. Vintage Gathering starts at 8:00am and then you can go onto Barn House. Check out their sites on my sidebar for directions and more information. These photos were taken at Vintage Gathering at their last sale in July, just to entice you to go and check them out.
How about a little red for the cowgirl in all of us?
I missed this treasure last time, darn.

You might even see one of these girls strutting around.

A romantic setting here, with the chandelier and a make shift bench.
Some great sewing notions have been known to be a great find.
Some roses make this table setting so special.
Kathy from Vintage Gathering and the hostess for this sale, makes these signs, she can do custom signs for you.
How can these Raggedy Ann's not be happy. I have a great collection of these Raggedy Ann and Andy's, some dating way back. I have a church pew full of them, they are there for my grandchildren to drag around and love.
Enjoy the weekend, with the Vintage Gathering and The Barn House Fall Sales upon us this coming weekend, on Saturday, you can't go wrong checking out all the treasures to be found. I will miss this sale, as I am going up to Mt Hood to stay in a cabin in the woods, I am sure there will be lots of stories to be told when I come back from this adventure. In the meantime have a great weekend, do something you LOVE!

Vintage Gathering and Beyond

A Vintage Gathering Flea Market in our own Battle Ground, Washington would not disappoint. These women have put together a great show for all. They coincide their sale with the Barn House Sale, allowing for a great day for shopping. Next sale is July 31st, so save your dollars, between Barn House and Vintage Gathering, there will be some serious shopping happening. You won't want to miss out.
These sweet plates I bought from Michelle of My Shabby Passion, Michelle is one of the sweetest people I know. I remember last year I saw her at Farm Chicks, she had flown over to go to the sale, and had to buy some vintage suitcases to haul all her treasures home, a true vintage treasure finder, I am thinking, how about you?
Here is Annette and I, Annette has Andy's Attic, she had a space here and sales at Uncovered Ruby, you'll want to check out her finds.
This beach chair says summer all over.
The bold crisp colors were very prevalent here at this sale, something for every one's taste.
Wow look at that red. So clean and crisp, perfect for a vintage camper or just camping, don't you think?
This table setting says Vintage all the way. I think back to the late 60's and early 70's and that was the colors we were all using. Oh the memories.
Lisa and I sharing some treasures, it was so nice to meet her mom, I wish my mom could go to some of these sales with me, I can just hear the stories she might tell me, "I remember that old thing" and my dad would say "what on earth do you want that thing for?" Sometimes I feel like I feel the history of a piece that I might buy, it becomes a treasure to me.
After leaving the Vintage Gathering sale, I headed to Camas to the Downtown Garden Fair, there was lots of plants to be seen and great friends. I did not come home with any plants yet, just because of the weather and the higher elevation I live at, sometimes causes you to loose some of those great plants if you plant too early. Patience is the name of that game. Not easy for me however.
Loved this quilt, it says flower garden all the way, what a refreshing space this was.
Do you remember when the farm girls did this very same stone stamping, some how I think this person has it down really well.
Not only were there plants but anything that was garden related, as you can see by this photo. If you are looking for a place to go treasure hunting Queen of Tarte is having her monthly sale this Saturday the 22nd, check out her blog for more info. Next post Funky Junk Sisters Sale. What fun we farm girls had.

The Gift of Christmas says it all at the Vintage Gathering Christmas Emporium, you will want to check it out, they have been adding new items every day, this sale goes through this Sunday the 15th of November. It is at 602 East Main in Battle Ground, Washington from 10:00 to 6:00 daily.
These wonderful old Santa's sure remind me of my childhood going to my grandmothers house, wow the memories are there.
All the makings of a white Christmas with a little color.
Here are some special combs and broaches with great prices.
Fran Gillette's cookbooks and calender are still available here, you won't want to miss out, hurry on in.
This wonderful old world Santa was made by a local artist from the Vancouver area, I was told there had been civil war fabric used in this creation, it has sold however, I still had to post this photo however.

Vintage Gathering's Christmas Emporium

This snowman is great and the sled that stands near it as well. Vintage Gathering's Christmas Emporium is in full swing with items added daily, so you almost feel like you need to go daily so that you do not miss out. There is something for everyone, those who like vintage, primitive, or the cottage look, as well as some great Preserves and Pickles, Fran Gillette's new cook book "Romancing The West" is available, along with some of her older cookbooks, I have every one of them, and I love them all.
This scene looks like something you would see in a store window, I think. It certainly makes me feel like snow is coming and to get ready for winter.
This little vintage tu tu was to darn cute, there were many items here for the person who likes the cottage look, with the elegant twist to it.
These Raggedy Ann and Andy's are one of my favorite, I do have a great collection of them.
This child size vintage bistro chairs and table complete with the cocoa look is real hard to pass up, but some how I know I do not have a place for it, it really needs to go to a good home.
These hard plastic Santa's and bottle brush trees are from my childhood, who could resist these memory makers, not me.
How about some wooden cardinal birds for your Christmas decorating.
Here are some great vintage looking name place cards or just decorations.
Check this great old fruit box. Now remember this sale goes through Sunday November 15, the hours are 10:00 to 6:00 daily, with restocking daily. You won't want to miss out. Location is in Battle Ground, Washington at 602 E. Main Street, next to Uncovered Ruby.
